New Mexico Landowner Permit Opportunities

New Mexico offers a unique opportunity to be able to hunt these quality units whether you are successful in drawing a state license or not. This is through the use of a landowner permit. These are unit wide permits which enables you to hunt not only the private land but also the public lands in the Game Management Unit the ranch is located in. This is not your actual tag; this is a voucher to be able to purchase your elk tag over the counter. There is a very limited amount of these available. Depending on the unit and trophy quality, prices range from $8,000 and up. H&A Outfitters, Inc. will purchase these for you at your request to insure you a quality elk hunt.

New Mexico public land hunts - Where we hunt.

Our New Mexico elk hunts take place in Southwest New Mexico, which is the Gila/Apache National Forest and also the Cibola National Forest and also in North Central New Mexico in the Santa Fe National Forest and the Carson National Forest. On occasion we will offer bull elk hunts on selected private ranches. New Mexico elk hunting is,for the most part, a very physically demanding sport. Although some terrain is very moderate, elevations range from around 6,500 to 9,500 feet in most of the areas we hunt.
