New Mexico Guided Muzzleloader Elk Hunting

With today's high tech muzzleloaders combined with some of the best elk hunting in North America - along with our savvy guides - is sure to promise you the most rewarding elk hunting experience possible. Our muzzleloader elk hunts take place in Catron County in southwest New Mexico where record book bulls are harvested every year and Rio Arriba County in north central New Mexico. In these units a 300 plus bull is more common than not. These hunts take place in early October through mid November. In October the bulls are still giving away their locations in the morning by bugling on the way to their bedding ground. A lot of our past clients have had bulls called into bow range during these hunts. The shot opportunities on these hunts usually run 85% to 100% every year, average shots are 100-200 yards.

Calling and locating, spot and stalk, on occasions closing the distance to bugling bulls, ground blinds set up at water holes and trails. Annually our shot opportunity on these hunts usually run 85% to 100%. Average shot distance is 100-250 yards.

Muzzleloader Dates & Rates

Fully Guided Muzzleloader Elk Hunts

Muzzleloader Elk hunts take place from October through November.
$6,850 per hunter 5-day hunt 2 on 1 guide service
Solo hunters will be charged for 1 on 1 guide service.
Prices include guide service, lodging, meals, transportation during the hunt, field care of your trophy, 3% forest service tax, 3% BLM tax.
Please note, prices do not include your hunting state license fees. or state tax.
